    Purpose of the resource

We have a national facility to gather brain imaging and neurophysiological data in healthy and clinical populations. We have also a neuroinformatics infrastructure of national scope with data base and computational tools to study brain function in health and disease.

    1. The resource is
  • General (e.g. DNA sequence, proteomic data)
  • Designed for use in basic neurosciences research
  • Designed for use in clinical neurosciences research
  • 2. The resource specifically provides for the following neurodegenerative diseases
  • Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias
  • Motor neurone diseases
  • Prion disease
  • Huntington’s disease
  • Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA)
  • Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)
  • Neurodegenerative disease in general
  • 3a. The resource is accessible to the research community
