Research Abstract


Mantelzorgers zijn de spil in de zorg voor ALS-patiënten. Daarom is het heel belangrijk om hen zo goed mogelijk te ondersteunen, om te voorkomen dat het hen te veel wordt. Jessica de Wit, klinisch psycholoog en werkzaam bij het Kenniscentrum Revalidatiegeneeskunde, zal zich de komende vier jaar gaan richten op het ontwikkelen en onderzoeken van een cursus ter ondersteuning van mantelzorgers zoals de partner en familieleden van ALS-patiënten. Caregivers are the key in care for ALS patients. Therefore, it is very important to support them as well as possible, to prevent them from getting too much. Jessica de Wit, clinical psychologist and working at the Rehabilitation Medicine Center, will focus on developing and investigating a supportive care course such as ALS patient and family members in the next four years.
